A Few Words About Alcohol
It could have started out simply enough - a glass of wine with dinner, but now, that glass has turned into a bottle or more. Perhaps you want to drink only when you're out socially, and limit yourself to a glass or two; or, perhaps alcohol has become a permanent issue in your life, and you want to break free of it for good.
Researchers in the UK found that middle-aged women who said they drank in moderation had a higher risk of liver, rectal and breast cancer, than those who drank less than two drinks per week. Studies also indicate that there is a larger number of women in the 50+ age group suffering from alcohol addiction. I work with each client individually to allow the source of their drinking to come to the surface. The root cause must be exposed and treated first. From there, we work on creating healthy habits for the future.
A Few Words on Drug Addictions
People with addictions to chemically addictive drugs can benefit from hypnotherapy. Immediate results include lessening the anxiety and stress associated with recovery. Also reduction in usage and withdrawal symptoms are an immediate benefit. However, long term hypnotherapy is usually required to overcome the addiction itself. I usually recommend hypnotherapy as an adjunct treatment to traditional drug counselling.
